  1. a) Introduction to Magnetic and Inertial Confinement Nuclear Fusion (notes on nuclear reactions, possible fusion reactions with emphasis on DD and DT; differences with the Sun and the stars.
    b) Fusion devices: Tokamaks (existing and future ones), its principle of operation and forces. Plasma heating methods.
    c) Plasma physics: Fundamental parameters and their control.
  2. a) The main plasma diagnostics: measurement methods, problems, etc.
    b) Plasma as a Radiation Source: Spectrum of Radiation Emitted for Plasma Diagnostics; Blackbody and Collisional Radiative Equilibrium
  3. a) Passive spectroscopic diagnostic techniques for Visible, UV and Soft X-ray;
    b) Active diagnostics techniques: CXRS, MSE.
  4. Methods of spectroscopic data analysis.
  5. Plasma as a neutron source (volume source, calculation of neutron emission and fusion power, Effects of neutrons on materials, Introduction to neutron transport and the concept of breeding. The breeding blanket)
  6. Diagnostics for neutron measurement (NAS, RNC, Spectrometers, etc.)
