Research Activities

  • Dr Cordiner research activities focus on understanding the characteristics of traditional and innovative energy conversion systems and their interactions with the environment.
  • Research arguments include:
    • Analysis of the combustion process and pollutant formation in internal combustion engines;
    • Development of innovative solution for efficient and clean energy production. The research interests also cover the use of hydrogen as a clean energy vector and its utilization in fuel cells;
    • Integration of Renewable Energy Sources in the distribution grid and the development of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems integrating thermal and electric energy storage systems;
    • Development of clean alternative propulsion systems using hydrogen as a clean energy vector;
    • Efficiency in energy final uses.
